Dear Customer,

On Tuesday 19th of March at 09:00 GMT we will be updating the SSL certificate for https://testwebservices.creditsafe.com/. This change may require action to be taken by your IT department and could result in an interruption of service if action is not taken. We recommend that you make sure this information reaches your IT department or corresponding function.

Many customers will not notice this update, though whether you need to take action depends on the specifics of your system configuration. Creditsafe unfortunately have no way to see exactly which customers this will affect, but we are able to confirm that users of one of our endpoints (wsHTTP) will need to have their certificate key updated to the new certificate key in their application configuration.

What needs to be done?
Your IT department should investigate if your system will be affected by the coming certificate update and if so, plan to take the necessary actions with help from the certificates that will be provided on the website linked below. Please make sure that the certificates are installed on all systems consuming this web services to be able to continue successful communication with this API. The link below will be updated ahead of the window with the new SSL certificates for this API:

https://sslportal.creditsafe.com/

At the above URL you will find a link to the certificate bundle (P7B) for testwebservices.creditsafe.com. This bundle contains four different certificates:

  1. AAA CA Root Certificate (Root Certificate)
  2. USERTrust RSA Root xSigned using AAA CA (Cross Signed Certificate)
  3. Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA (Intermediate Certificate)
  4. testwebservices.creditsafe.com

Please note there is no change to the intermediate and root certificates so it is unlikely you will need to install certificates 1,2 & 3 as systems that require them will already have them installed. Certificate 4 will need to be installed and we recommend you do this simultaneously with Creditsafe’s update on Tuesday 19th Marth at 09:00 GMT to avoid any interruptions in the connection to our test GGS web service.

What if you still have questions?
If you have any questions regarding this update, please contact your local support team. Please note that Creditsafe will not be able to decide whether you need to install this certificate or not.

Best Regards,
The Creditsafe Team
