Planned maintenance to Creditsafe's Global Gateway Service

Dear Customer,

On Wednesday 25th October at 09:00 BST (10:00 CEST) the SSL certificate for Creditsafe’s GGS product (https://webservices.creditsafe.com) will be updated. This change may require action to be taken by your IT department and could result in an interruption of service if action is not taken. We recommend that you make sure this information reaches your IT department or corresponding function.

Many customers will not notice this update, though whether you need to take action depends on the specifics of your system configuration. Creditsafe unfortunately have no way to see exactly which customers this will affect, but we are able to confirm that users of our wsHTTP endpoint will need to update to the new certificate key in their application configuration.

What needs to be done?
Your IT department should investigate if your system will be affected by the upcoming certificate update and if so, plan to take the necessary actions with help from the certificates that are provided on the website linked below. Please verify that the certificates are installed on all systems consuming the GGS webservice to be able to continue successful communication with our API. The link below contains the new SSL certificates for this API.

https://sslportal.creditsafe.com/

At this URL you will find a link to the certificate bundle (P7B) for webservices.creditsafe.com. This bundle contains four different certificates:

  1. AAA CA Root Certificate (Root Certificate)
  2. USERTrust RSA Root xSigned using AAA CA (Cross Signed Certificate)
  3. Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA (Intermediate Certificate)
  4. https://webservices.creditsafe.com/

Please note, there is no change to the intermediate and root certificates so it is unlikely you will need to install certificates 1, 2 & 3 as systems that require them will already have them installed. Certificate 4 may need to be installed and we recommend you do this simultaneously with Creditsafe’s update on Wednesday 25th October at 09:00 BST (10:00 CEST) to avoid any interruptions in the connection to our GGS web service.

Best Regards
The Creditsafe Team
